Delivery

Production Lead Times

Production lead times will vary by product, and are shown on each product page. Please click on the Delivery tab on the product page for details.

NOTES

  • A day is defined as a working day – Monday to Friday
  • A full day counts on orders received before 12 midday. Therefore the next day counts as day 1 when orders are received after 12 midday.
  • Add 1 day lead time for embossing recipient’s name onto a cover of a book where chosen

Delivery (P&P) Charges

There are two delivery options available:

STANDARD DELIVERY: £3.99
This will be delivered by Royal Mail. Please allow 1-3 working days for delivery (in addition to the production timescales shown in the ‘Delivery Info’ section of the relevant product page).

URGENT DELIVERY: £6.99
This will be delivered by a next day priority service. Please allow 1 working day for delivery (in addition to the production timescales shown in the ‘Delivery Info’ section of the relevant product page). Deliveries are usually attempted between 8am and 6pm (Monday to Friday only) and will require a signature on receipt.

NOTES:

  • We do not include Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays in the production and delivery timescales quoted.
  • When ordering for multiple items please note that they may be despatched and delivered separately. You will not be charged additionally for this.
  • We cannot deliver to PO boxes if your delivery is via our courier service (applies to all Urgent deliveries – UK and International).
  • For Northern Ireland, the Highlands, and the majority of UK islands, Urgent Deliveries may be switched to Royal Mail ‘Special Delivery’.

Delivery Terms & Details

AIM Internet Limited (trading as Personalised Gifts) will desptach the Products ordered by you to the address you give for delivery when you make your order. You may specify a delivery address which is different from your invoice address, if, for example, you would like AIM Internet Limited to deliver the Products directly to a friend, a relative, or to your place of work.

In the unlikely event you do not receive Products ordered by you within 28 days of the date on which you ordered them; AIM Internet Limited shall have no liability to you unless you notify us by email at info@personalisedgifts-direct.com of the problem within 28 days of the date on which you ordered the Products.

Unless you have cancelled your order prior to delivery, you will become the owner of the Products once they have been delivered to you. In any case, after delivery they will be held at your own risk and AIM Internet Limited will not be liable for any loss, damage or destruction to the Products except insofar as it arises from an inherent defect in any of the Products.

Returns

You have a legal right to cancel an order in respect of items which are not personalised or made to your specifications (“bespoke items”) and this is set out under “Cancellations” below.

Unless there has been an error on our part, or the item you purchased is defective, you have no right to cancel and we cannot accept returns on ‘Personalised’ or ‘bespoke’ items, whether by name or date, as these cannot be sold to anyone else. Our website is designed to give customers every opportunity to check all input/personalisation details and dates.

Defective Items

If you return an item (whether or not personalised / bespoke) because of an error on our part, or because it is defective, we will happily refund your costs in returning it to us. The item(s) must be returned in the condition in which you received it within 30 days of delivery. We cannot be held responsible for packages lost in transit, as you are responsible for returning the items to us, we recommend sending the packages by Recorded/Special Delivery.

Cancellations
Right to Cancel

You have the right to cancel a contract for an item which is not personalised / bespoke within 14 days without giving any reason.

The cancellation period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire (or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires) physical possession of the goods. In the case of a contract relating to multiple goods ordered in one order and delivered separately the cancellation period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the last good.

To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right to cancel before the cancellation period has expired.

Effect of Cancellation

If you cancel this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).

We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.

We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than:

  • 14 days after the day we receive back from you any goods supplied, or
  • (if earlier) 14 days after the day you provide evidence that you have returned the goods, or
  • if there were no goods supplied, 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to cancel this contract.

We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event you will not incur any fees as a result of the reimbursement. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.

You shall send back the goods or hand them over to us without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the date on which you communicate your cancellation of this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods by post. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
